Monroy Hardwood Flooring is a full-service company located in Aurora, Illinois. Rudy Sr. began his career in the flooring industry at the age of seventeen upon his arrival in the United States. He was presented with a remarkable opportunity to acquire essential trade skills that would significantly alter the course of his life. Rudy Sr. worked as an installer, refinisher, and finisher for his employer for two years. However, when his boss decided to retire and sell the business, the new owners chose to lay off Rudy, along with his crew and coworkers.
Undeterred by this setback, Rudy remained committed to his dream of establishing his own flooring company. At the age of nineteen, he diligently worked in a factory and took on roofing jobs in Michigan to save money for starting his business. During this time, Rudy encountered a fellow builder named Tom, whom his former employer had previously hired for flooring projects. While they were both at a gas station, Tom approached Rudy to inquire about his interest in becoming his flooring specialist.
Rudy informed Tom of his current situation, explaining that he was working as a roofer to raise funds for purchasing equipment, including installation, sanding, and finishing tools. Impressed by Rudy's determination, Tom extended an extraordinary opportunity to him by offering a loan to cover the costs of acquiring the necessary equipment and a van to launch his flooring company.

Over the years, he has established himself as a leading flooring expert and has taken on the responsibility of mentoring the next generation, including his sons, cousins, nephews, and friends.
